Global IR was established in 2020 to facilitate smooth engagement between Japanese companies and global investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Integrity & Sustainability<\/span> as our guiding principle, we promote growth companies and hidden gems from Japan on the grand stage we call the global capital market.
Global IR’s mission is to work with Japanese companies to advance their IR activities toward meeting global standards. We are just now witnessing an emerging shift in the Japanese stock market away from a rather antiquated geocentric<\/em> mindset to a more modern heliocentric<\/em> one. Leading this change is Global IR’s professional team and its wealth of experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Misako Terui<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

While at university, Misako Terri<\/em> Terui began working for a US-based management consulting firm. After graduating, she teamed up with the vice president and others to establish her own company, founding IR Japan, the first IR company in Japan.
(Note: Terri worked as part of IR Japan for three years. The founding members sold all their shares in 2006 and retired from the company.)<\/span>
Terri introduced the concept of corporate financial PR for overseas investors to Japan for the first time and, through educational activities, brought the IR concept to Japan.
Based in the US for more than 30 years, the roles Terri has taken on throughout her career include Associate at First Chicago Bank, Director at Salomon Brothers\/Citigroup Securities, Managing Director at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, and Head of North American Equity\/Executive Director at SMBC Nikko Securities.
As a sales representative for Japanese equities to institutional investors, Terri has a deep-seated understanding of the investment thinking of global investors outside Japan. She has attended corporate executives for over 1,000 IR meetings with institutional investors.
Terri established Global IR, Inc. in the US in 2020. She has contacts with over 500 institutional investors in North America and has robust connections with major investors.

She has a BA from Sophia University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and holds a license in real estate.\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>
